My Digital Paintbox

I started out attempting to create one digital piece of artwork every day for a year. I made it about 80 days before it became overwhelming. Overwhelming in task and emotionally for all I was sharing. I want to continue sharing but am shifting the focus. I am not concerned with creating 365 pieces of art just for the sake of having a whole year's worth of work. I want to share what is in my heart. If there end up being 365 or 80 I will be happy. Thank you for following me.

2011.093 "Supersonic Sorbet"

Yesterday in Wichita, KS it was 100 degrees. This was the earliest calendar day since 1967 we've seen triple digit temperatures outside and broke the record for heat on this day in history.

What's a great remedy for a hot "summer" day? Well...ice cream of course! When I was a little girl my Grandmother always kept a tub of rainbow sherbet in her freezer for just such days.

Today's piece is a celebration of that frozen concotion that makes children (and adults) go "ahhh" when the temperature is 100 degrees on May 9.
